Telangana gears up for pivotal 2023 election

How Congress want, KCR lost after two times winning

The BJP has crossed the majority mark in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The saffron party is leading in Chhattisgarh whereas , Congress is set to form government in Telangana. In Telangana there were INC (Indian national Congress) won by majority of votes 64. In Telangana, the K Chandra Shekhar Rao led Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) aims lost to Congress. Revanth Reddy is incumbent and last chief minister of Telangana was K Chandra Shekhar Rao 2018, (BRS) 

 KCR's Disappointment on polls results 2023 

The poll results come as major disappointment for BRS as CM K. C. Rao was eyeing a third term in the state. In 2018, BRS won 88 of 119 seats and had 47.4 % share of vote one congress leader even alleged that BRS was funding other parties in places such as UP and Karnataka.

Shift of power from the BRS to the Congress? 

There was anti incumbency and voter fatigue while the BRS had bought in flagship schemes for people of all age groups, sound welfare initiative like Dalit Bandher and double bedroom houses become points of contention this election season. There were allegation of corruption against several MLA's. The BRS in 2019 had engineered the defection of 12 Congress MLA's from especially the Khammam region further bringing down Congress MLA Tally from 18 to 6.

What promises Congress made? 

The Congress also promise that it would increase the budget up to 4000 crore rupees annually towards Minority Welfare besides conducting cast census within 6 months after coming to power. Under the Abdul Kalam Toufa-E-Taleem scheme  the party said it would provide financial assistance of 5 lakh to Muslim shikhs and other minority youths upon completing M. phill and PHD programs.
